Air India Flight AI-171 Crashes After Takeoff
Ahmedabad, June 12, 2025 — In one of the darkest days in Indian aviation history, an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner, operating as Flight AI-171, crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The flight was en route to London Gatwick and was carrying 242 people , including 230 passengers and 12 crew members . Authorities have confirmed that there appear to be no survivors . A Devastating Incident The flight took off at approximately 1:38 PM IST and lost contact with air traffic control just minutes later.
